Has Technology Disrupted The Truth?
The truth has always been disrupted. Today, it's technology and the internet while in the past, newspapers and radio played this role. The difference is that we don't have to turn on a TV or buy a newspaper. All we need is to check websites and social media on our phones wherever we are as long as we have an internet connection.
For example, on 5th June 1967, the Egyptian newspapers' headlines described the war against Israel as a victory saying that our forces had penetrated deep into Israel and the Arab army was marching toward Tel Aviv.
However, the truth was totally different. 90% of the Egyptian air force was destroyed on tarmac leaving the ground forces without air cover. It took Israeli forces only six days to capture the Sinai peninsula in Egypt, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank in Palestine and the Golan Heights of Syria.
